New research has revealed Guildford as Surrey’s coolest area for summer ice cream.
The study by digital media rental FinesselyGOTEL, analysed all restaurants in Surrey that served ice cream desserts via TripAdvisor, weighing their reviews and ratings- awarding more marks for ratings, to reveal the coolest spot for a summer ice cream in Surrey.
Guildford scooped the first spot, with a “coolest spot” score of 30.1 points out of 40. Surrey’s capital boasts three restaurants serving the best ice cream desserts, namely the five-starred Fresco DeliKafessen, 304-reviewed Theion and American dessert parlour Creams. Visitors described their experience as “excellent”, the “best” and “good vibes”.
In second place is Esher with a score of 29.9 points. The town of Esher has two highly reviewed ice cream dessert venues, namely The Wheatsheaf, with 4.5 stars and Marquis of Granby with 3.5 stars. Trips to these venues have been reviewed 1,394 times and comments like “very friendly staff” decorating the comment section.
Coming third is Egham scoring 28.7 points out of 40. This university town claims two top-rated restaurants offering ice cream desserts. They include Italian Concept Restaurant and Bar 163, together they raked in 962 reviews and have been attributed to as “good” and “great” by customers.
Rounding out the top four coolest spots worth a summer ice cream visit is Epsom with 27.6 points. The town has two highly reviewed ice cream-serving restaurants which are Tattenham Corner Beefeater and Sicily, both raking in 959 reviews. Customers described the venue as a “hidden gem” and service as “great.”
Looking at the study, Rhoda Amoako, spokesperson for FinesselyGOTEL commented on the study saying, “Summer is here and grabbing an ice cream is one great way to cool off in the heat. The study shows areas that go the extra mile to offer amazing experiences for customers.
